Responsibilities
The H&S and Security Coordinator will be part of the Global Safety and Security (GSS) team and supports the programs and services that GSS provides globally.
The role mainly provides support for the H&S programs in the Bucharest office, but also will support security related task and may expand into the EMEA region.
Main task is to oversee and coordinate the external prevention and protection service, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards, and with company’s’ Health and Safety (H&S) and Security programs. This role involves identifying and mitigate workplace hazards, compliance with safety regulations and deliver of the H&S training programs. The H&S and Security Coordinator will work closely with senior management and various departments to integrate occupational health, safety, and fire safety practices into all organizational activities.
Coordinates, monitors and organizes the activity of the external H&S prevention and protection service.
Develops and reviews the H&S systems and risk assessments for all components of the work.
Identifies potential hazards, develops and implements effective mitigation measures.
Monitors and regularly updates the H&S, Fire Safety and prevention and protection plans, ensuring compliance with current regulations and company policies.
Creates and implements safety and health instructions tailored to specific workplace activities.
Conducts regular inspections, site walks and audits to ensure all BU’s adherence to safety and security standards and regulations.
Participates in the investigation of workplace incidents, preparing and maintaining detailed reports on accidents and incidents.
Coordinates and documents the fire drills and H&S training programs. This includes organizing and helping arrange employee trainings on variety of topics such as ergonomics, self-depence, earthquakes, etc.
Organizes the Safety Committee meetings and agenda.
Coordinates and carry out ergonomic assessments for staff on an as required basis.
Organizes the security service requests and maintenance with system vendors.
Implements the physical security protocols and emergency response procedures. This includes on site support for emergencies and disasters, access control systems, CCTV, security personnel management and event security assessments.
Coordinates the service calls for the security system vendor for repairs and PPM.
Liaison and working closely with CBRE and Facillities Operations teams to do ensure compliance with the office standards and policies, and provides support for specific projects.
Other health, safety, and security-related tasks to support the Bucharest office/employees, and/or other office in the EMEA region as needed.
Requirements
3+ years demonstrated experience in H&S and Fire Safety management, preferably in corporate environment
Certification as a Safety and Security Professional or similar certification preferred (IOSH, Nebosh).
Knowledge of national safety regulations and standards.
Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and provide hands-on assistance as needed.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
Prefer candidates should have DSE/Ergonomic qualifications
Experience with supporting security programs and systems will represent an advantage.
Proficiency in English language and written communication
Proficiency in EHS management software and Microsoft Office.
