Ensures the transition of the solutions offered from the development environment to the operational environment through a validation, testing and implementation process. Operates and ensures a high availability of services, regularly develops automation scripts and constantly seeks to optimize existing working methods. Implements changes and maintenance works on the software solutions used by the client, writes implementation documents and changes to the current configuration / code and implements according to existing procedures.
The team operates from two primary locations, Lisbon, Portugal, and Bucharest, Romania, to ensure 24/7 service continuity, availability, and stability across various Markets and Technology Domains, Which Include Data Analytics, Automation, Web Portals, and Systems Environment & Release.
Responsibilities
Key accountabilities:
To deliver technical support for automation applications and systems, both during and outside business hours by ensuring on-call availability, approximately once every 2 months.
To provide input for planning, assessment, implementation, rollout and implementation for code release phases and change requests.
Make use of CI/CD pipelines and source-code control systems for easy deployments and updates
Execute or manage incidents, problems and service requests including implementation of workarounds.
Working to defined service level agreements and key performance indicators.
To aAssist in the building of knowledge and skills throughout the team and to work to continuously improve service to customers.
For some of the services provided, modify and adapt the software solutions for a better performance and experience offered to the customer.
Revises the technical and functional specifications of information systems and implements them in the process of modifying or adapting solutions.
Performs an impact analysis, proposes, develops and implements technical solutions related to the basic functionality of the software, with the final result of solving incidents and advanced technical problems and implicitly improving the customer experience.
Managing long term, sustainable relationships with internal and external sourcing partners to ensure SLA compliance and service improvements.
Requirements
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
Good understanding of DevOps principles and Agile methodology
A minimum of 1 technical experience working with: cloud-based infrastructure on AWS or GCP and CI/CD (Jenkins), version control (Git),
Basic understanding of programming Object Oriented languages (such as Java), / scripting with any of the following languages: Bash, Perl, Python, and PL/SQL database queries.
Good operational knowledge, able to debug and troubleshoot application issues on Linux servers
Experience in a multinational environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both written and spoken)
AWS or GCP Cloud Certifications are a Plus.
Must have technical / profesional qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, IT or MIS.
